Last paragraph - important
by Anandateertha on Oct 04, 2006 12:43 PM   Permalink

It is a fact that B-Schools do not teach the art of negotiation. If one reads Herb Cohen's book "You Can Negotiate Anything", one will realise that in order to negotiate, a lot of knowledge, application, experience is needed. Every negotiation is unique. Mahatma Gandhi was not an MBA, but he could negotiate effectively with britishers. It is very relevant that everybody read the last paragraph of the article. The leader's success story is written on how best he can make use of the team members' experiences. Real success is not what you achieve, it is how you achieve. If success has come to a leader by default without much effort, it is likely to go off effortlessly. Count on proper support, be a listener, grab good points out of discussions and create a masterpiece of your work. Success achieved through such a streneous effort will last long.
