Interesting story. But my comment has to do with your petrol consumption. On an average you will spend more petrol going the shorter but busier way than the longer but more free way. The skewed thinking of our countrymen has resulted in cramming all the cities because they think if its closer you will reach it faster. Such cramming results in traffic jams and high fuel consumption.
