I was an employee with AAI for 9 years and can fully endorse the fact that the employees, as in any other govt. or psu enterprise, are lazy and indifferernt to the changing needs. Since they are sure that there is NO WAY they will lose their jobs and salary, they will go for strike whether it is a just cause or not. Here they are worried that they will have to forego the confort they are enjoying now. AAI is a corrupted PSU, and they can't match the speed necessary to upgrade the airports in india in another century. Let the privatization happen - I am sure, it will, even if these people strike for ever - and everybody can have the fruits; the only bad part for many of the LAZY and ignorent AAI employees is that they will have to WORK to earn their salary. For the system to work better, people should be responsible and answarable. (This is true for EVERY enterprise in India). Privatization will make that happen. I dream of a GREAT nation INDIA in the coming decades. Let us shed our personal interests and work together to make that happen.
