Pay Commission should be revised with every Five year Plan. With real estate booming b'coz of MNC and Foreign investment, its difficult for goverment servant to have his own flat, even Govt. quarter are in remote areas(undeveloped areas), can't afford to have his own vehicles with fuel rates fuming high daily, Cost of living multiplying with steady increase in all essential product of livelihood. pay hike difficult to avoid for the govt., but more painful for the govt. employees too to neglect.

So Mr X is an inferior vet whom the MNC is pampering for no reason?? (thats what generally the govt does)Logically, doing that entails a loss for this pvt sector company which it couldnt & wouldnt carry on.(The Govt however does exactly that) Why dont you join Pvt sector then?? Bcoz no matter how bad you perform, you can only be transferred NOT terminated in govt job???? Govt sector is the only place where there is no Performance Evaluation , little reward for performance & NO penalty for non-performance. Grow up. Pay should be linked to: 1.Performance NOT years of service.... 2.Knowledge & ability to apply it NOT Marks scored.

Hi/ Dr. Mani
Money has no relation with talent of an individual. How much stressed you r while servicing with Govt. dept. How much time you avail for lunch . How many research papers you published . How many holidays you enjoy. How many times your family waits for you to come back from office. Above all how much you are doing compare with your pharmacists. All matters. Our technicrats in Govt. sector work as a lower level administrators . Neither these gentlemen develope themself as technically strong peron nor have administrative powers .
Then why to compare with ever advancing Private sector vprofessionals.

it seems that you are the government employee that's why favoring it. as all government servents received DA which increased with increase in prices so the effect goes zero. now in comparision v/s Pvt sector employee, do u think goverment people work like pvt company employee ? they only go to office to do the sign in muster and then they disappear for whole day keeping all work aside. they are not at all eligible for single Rs rise. And again if their wages are increased then also they keep asking for money as corruption runs into their blood and they can't live without it.
