And why not?

The soft drink companies produce consumable items without even listing the ingredients. The sheer money power behind this business has ensured that this remains undisclosed even in the USA. There are no government directives or studies to understand the effects of carbonated drinks. To put in the holistic perspective, even USA govenments have failed to protect their citizen\\\'s rights.

But that does not mean that India should emulate the same. We are a poor country still and cannot afford to attract huge costs in related medical maintenance. Also, why a partial treatment only to soft drinks when everything other consumable is directed to disclose the ingredients. Moreover, there is no green dot - and there are reasons to suspect that soft drinks contain animal additivies. I hope the authorities would rise to the fact and take necessary action.
