cola ban
by Subramanya Prasad on Aug 09, 2006 02:04 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

this is ridiculous... first the authorities have to verify the reports of the CSE as its credibility has been challenged in some quarters. such hasty steps won't do good for india's image in the globalised setup.
and reports of banning junk foods like pizzas 'n burgers are even more foolish... then please ban our desi junk foods like churmuri, kodbale, nippattu and pani puri... u idiots...

Gentleman
If the Colas and Pepsis have had meintained the standards after a call has be taken 3 years back, this wudnt have happened. This shows their attitude, We will sell all stupid Stuff Branded, never mind hw spoling they r. Why didnot them maintain the same standard thtthey maintain in US today!?

And desi foods like churumuri, Nippattu, kodubale are never junk. If u dont kno or dont understand them ..try understanding their composition first!

As such, banning Pizza, Burger has to be given a revisit, but if u think the above mentioned desi foods are junk, then these pizzas and burgers are as well!

I strongly feel that the ban on cola is a very good step taken by some of the indian states. if v r talking about other edibles like fruits, vegetables, etc, that is a different dase. these things also might contain harmfull substances in them. but just compare both the cases.

No doctor would advice his patient to keep away from fruits and vegetables, without which v cant survive. also v dont find other harmfull eateries as popular as colas. colas r there in every nook and corner, evn in the villages.

and about the desi foods like murmuri, nippattu, etc.,there r a lot of small scale industries surviving on these small sale of theirs and the truth lies they r not JUNK foods. jst think of the composition of both the cases. r these rural small scale industries at fault or the MULTI NATIONAL GIANTS???
