I wanted to close my barclay card because they are a totally mess & mismanaged company.I requsted them to tell me total amount due to me.I was told on 7/3/08 that if I paid Rs 31840.92 my account will be closed & card shall be cancelled.I paid the amount by chequebut the statement of 19/3/08 showed that Barclay has taken excess payment of Rs 10476.62 .On reversing the charges of Priority Circle Membership for which Barclay had taken Rs 5000.00 from me without my consent the total amount due to me is now Rs 15476.62 which Barclay must pay to me.But instead of paying they have sent me SMS that my credit Balance is now reduced to Rs 7924.14 instead of Rs 15476.62.Is it TRANSPARENT dealing or FRAUD on consumers.Till date they have not cancelled my card & there is no indication that will refund my money despite many letters sent to them.
