hello

I dont know why everybody in India, is so jealous of Brahmins....If somebody wants to say that majority of brahmin's are rich.....he should recheck his knowledge.....Other than having a special socila status in the past.......that is currently not there....Brahmins are no different than other casts..In fact there are so many so called OBC casts that are rich..while the Brahmins are not....Please dont forget that the Brahmins in past earned the special status because of pure mental power....not physical power....or not using a sword....Today also whatever Brahmins are earning the jobs and admissions to premier institutes are because they have maintained their merit.....while other casts are still crying for their fortunes....Rarely any Brahmins are found in business...This simply tell why they are largely part of middle class.....

on what basis can you say that brahmins are at same economic level as other castes? any specific data? any specific numbers or projections? instead of just talking about perceptions we should have specific information before making any such statement. the so called merit you are talking about could be a result of the higher social status. in general and on average upper caste people have better peace and respect in the soceity since a long time. this translates to peaceful and respect filled home and that translates to an atmosphere where they can advance and where the children can study etc. so do not be under the illusion that all this merit is all without the caste system. centuries and centuries of such atmosphere is bound to have an effect. let us study this issue carefully and give it its due attention. just dismissing it is not good for the lower castes. it is also not good for the country and for everybody. now is the chance to set things in the right direction for progress. inequality can lead to huge problems. look at what happened to srilanka. the current problems and losing couple of medical seats is nothing compared to all the violence. so peace and calm.

hello,
Ithink Abhishek knows little of current affairs and history. I shall elaborate both the points; Firstly, Abhishek does not know the meaning of' reservations' when he says " "give OBCs an equal chance" The 50% reservation for OBC is ONLY FOR OBC and the other 50% is for everybody including the intelligent OBCs who can again apply in open merit. The 50% reservation allows OBCs of much lower academic levels to compete with caste Hindus who have to get 90% and above to stand a chance. Secondly how dare abhishek ridicule our old Scientists_ History bears testimony to the fact that Indian Scientists have given GREAT CONTRIBUTIONS IN SCIENCE TO THE WORLD.Even in today's computer world, Indian software scientists beat software scientists in America, the country of Bill Gates. I'll send Abhishek an attachment if he wants to know what Indian Scientists have contributed to the world. Let me know abhishek's email ID
