Reservations...
by Jaya Sinha on Apr 28, 2006 03:03 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

It's high time that people get together and leave no stone unturned in lodging their protest against allocating quotas for the backward classes of the society. We all know how "concerned" our dear politicians are for the weaker sections. When it comes to gaining advantage by favoring a particular class/group, they can stoop down to any level.

And Sonia Gandlhi is one of the most manipulative politician in the arena who knows her moves. She renounced Natwar Singh as he was becoming a source of embarassment to the Congress following angry protest from the Opposition walking out of the Parliament. There were factions within the Congress and so in the common interest, she asked Natwar Singh to resign. But why she would do the same to Arjun Singh when there is not a soul amongst the political class opposing the reservation issue?

Hi Gajendra,

I agree to your point. Brahmins mostly are a working class. They do better because they are more focused and care nothing about the politicians and their words. Caste based reservations makes no sense.

We all stand a chance for betterment. We should focus for the same. Reservation based on Economic Status is better for India then based on caste. Freebies will make this worse. British Ruled India and left us to these insensible Politicians to rule us.

The focus of an ELITE (Dont mis/read here as UPPER CASTE) is \\\"One\\\'s focus for betterment is based on himself and not banked on the reservation\\\". Hence one succeeds.

Regards,
Rajesh

See the problem with India was due to Brahmin created diiificulties,to other caste members! The brahmins of yester years thought that the knowledge should not be shared and should remain with in the family. They realised that knowledge is power and perhaps money. The two problems created due to this secretly guarded knowledge are a large mass of ignorants and corrupted power in the hands of a few. That led many not in the fold of knowledge to leave hinduism and embrace other faiths. The brahmins never saw that as a problem and were not astute enough to realise the side effects of this corrupted system.
The only plus point of this is there for all to see.even today Brahmins excell where the brain matters. The concept that Brahmins are no good businessman is no longer true. NRN is a classical example of doing business with brains and compassion. The grudge the other communities hold against brahmins can and should be removed through proper education and awareness.People should be made to realise that not all the brahmins are freemason type and not all brahmins are rich and not all brahmins are against the other castes. How ever that means end of vote bank politics.
