Every Govt,both at the centre and the state invent new schemes that has a mass attraction, to keep itself in power.It is immaterial whether it is really worth it or not for the nation to go strong.The writer has rightly pointed out the various schemes which have a retarding effect on the Indian economy.While on one hand there is gradual reduction in the Government hold on the public sectors, proposals are being aired byone state Govt. to take over the earnings of some of the popular temples.
