I am not an expert in stock markets nor on taxation , but I notice that the article has missed on few important points of making overall profits. Though it appears prudent to sell when stocks raise , it is also adviseable to see if you have to pay Short Term Capital gains Tax(if you hold the stock for less than a year)and also if you are missing out on the Tax free dividends.
