B-Schools - reality today
by Kishor Jagirdar on Apr 21, 2005 02:31 PM   Permalink

True to say that today the quality of MBA students has gone down completely.Except a few top grades the place is fully of sub standard MBA programmes being churned out .There are no proper qualified faculties ,infrastrcuture nor quality programmes. Its more to do with business making than imparting qulaity education. The by product of this degraded system eventually is creating a floating mass of MBA grads who lack the basic skills in management practice let alone ability in leadership. Their expectations are very high and assume that an MBA in hand will get them stars.Over the years these people will clogg the industry.
1)The call of the hour is to regulate the B-Schools.Emphasize on soft skills and case studies that have practical career application and finally internship for one year min after cirriculum.
