If Rajaji had been prime-minister then We would not have had the Kashmir issue and since Rajaji and Patel favoured a free-market economy We would have been better off. Also Rajaji was aware of the Communist Danger He would not have pampered the communists to the extent that they would become a threat to the Nation. Nehru did just that. Also with Rajaji, there would have been no dynastic Rule, Less corruption and more accountability at all levels. Rajaji did not suffer sycophants. Nehru loved to surround himself with YES men.

In Rajaji's own words: "Encouraging competition in industry and giving incentives for higher production are good for the public as well as for the private interests. I want an India where talent and energy can find scope for play without having to cringe and obtain special individual permission from officials and ministers, and where their efforts will be judged by the open market in India and abroad. [...] I want the inefficiency of public management to go where the competitive economy of private management can look after affairs. [...] I want the corruptions of the permit-license-raj to go. [...] I want the officials appointed to administer laws and policies to be free from pressures of the bosses of the ruling party, and gradually restored back to the standards of fearless honesty which they once maintained. [...] I want real equal opportunities for all and no private monopolies created by the permit-license- raj. [...] I want the money power of big business to be isolated from politics. [...] I want an India where dharma once again rules the hearts of men and not greed."

Nehru only wanted to share the bed with Edwina to which it is apparent Mountbaten connived. Nehru did nothing but sending India to dogs and we are suffering from Nehruvian obsessions.

I think, this, whole nonsense of non- alignment took us nowhere. Sardar Patel, would have been a better Prime Minister than Nehru, who wanted to align us with the Western Countries. If we had aligned with United States, China would have not dared to attack India. Soviet Union, was simply neutral, which failed to aid India, during the Chinese Invasion.
Nehru's socialist policies ruined this country. We would have progressed much faster, if we had open economic polices, at the time of independence.

There is no guarentee that US would help us even back then.
India should align itself with any nation that helps to further it's goals but should ALWAYS depend on it's own military might to take on any nation.
What India needs are strong decisive leaders not congress dhotiwalas , lefties or BJP fanatics.

Rajaji was a local lawyer, the Brahmin tamil community has prasied him a lot better than foreign educated and practised gandhi and nehru and many other. the tamil brahmins simply speak high of their achievements and make a mountain out of mole.
I cant see any achievemnet of Rajaji, he is a caste oreinted person who made the seceretatariat a simple brahmin house. he introduced the Kulakalvi thittam.
the british used him rightly the accident of him becoming governor general is similar to Deva Gowda becoming PM and Pannerselvam becoming tamilnadu CM
he doesnt have any track record of any achievemnts prior to being givernor general and later used that as a stepping stone as back door to be an appointed CM. he doesnt have any other record supporting it

Rajaji served as the country's Home Minister for nearly 10 months. He at that time warned Nehru about the expansionist designs of China and also expressed regret over the Tibet problem, his views being in par with that of Sardar Patel, his predecessor. Look, Rajaji would have landed Indian troops in Tibet to defend Tibet's independence. He had also expressed concern over the demands made about establishing new states on a linguistic basis, saying that it would generate differences amongst the people. He wanted states to be demarcated taking administrative convenience into picture and not linguistic boundaries. Once in a cabinet meeting regarding Foreign Policy, Rajaji made a point and Nehru's view was different to that of Rajaji. The other sycophantic members in the meeting also supported Nehru. Nehru turned to Rajaji and said "See Rajaji, the majority is with me!". To this Rajaji retorted "Yes, Jawaharlal! The majority is with you, but the logic is with me!". Nehru laughed and supported Rajaji's proposal.

i asked a simple question? you are asking to read history. i dont want to say that to you
what was Rajaji track record before bcoming the Governor genreal and after that
Sardar patel was great and he has proved unification of INdia and so many things.
1. how did they select him as governor general, did he have previous experience?
2. the british want some one who doesnt know the job still think he knew it. he was a local lawyer in salem court and then did some practice in madras high court nothing else, he hasnt traveled out of country prior to that and traveled on just govt funds
3.after his post is dones as governor general, he is a cunning lawyer he overtook s.satyamurti and became an appointed CM
4. made madras secreterait a Brahmin house and used the monority brahmins for his power hunger, poor brahmins thought that he is the saviour of their community and forget his personal benefit he is nothing better than ramdoss for naicker community
4.when he over took satyamurthi by influencing gandhi as he married his son to gandhi daughetr and acted as cm fo rsome time
4.later when Satyamurthi student Kamaraj explained the congress head and took over power, he joined hands with DMK and tried to act as if he is a king maker. but he is not even a good human being with ethics and moral
5. he introduced kulakalvi thittam saying that the sons and duaghters of famers, barber and the lower community to be their and just want his community to educate

It seems this ss is castiest moron who can see only a tamil brahmin in Rajaji not the statesman and farsighted political visionary. He was the first one to have estimated MKG potential in Indian politics, even during south african struggle itself.
