The people of orissa are not backwards but simple. Their accent are different because these people are satisfied with what they have and they dont want more unless it is difficult to maintain with what thwy have. They are normally vegetarian having Lord of universe(Lord Jagannath)with them all the ways.In orissa swain is not a Community but a surname & you Cann't decide the class basing a surname. By the way what is the meaning of "sh", mind it Me is an oriya.

Why are u so worried about somebody's accent. For that matter why does a typical french guy or a chinese not able to speak normal english ? Even in India do u think a "typical" guy from any other state doesn't have an accent ?

Generally tongue is trained to speak one's mother-tongue. When one attempts to speak another language, the tongue does not cooperate to speak correctly. But when one goes to another country and keep on talking in another language one develops correct accent.

There are differences in culture from state to state, area to area but some similarities also there. Still we are united by the feeling that we are Indians. This is the beauty of our country.

There is not much cultural differences or food habits ( Orissa people also eat rice and fish) or language ( oriya is some kind of dialect just like Assamese of Bengali language). in fact, until 1858, Bengal, Bihar and Orissa jointly used to be called Bengal. Bengali language was originated from Mathili Prakit ( the ancient language of Mithila).
