Five people who changed India
by Ravi & Manju on Aug 15, 2007 02:16 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

In real sense after Indepence 5 people contributed to change India to a great extent. One of them could be Rajiv Gandhi. Others are Tatas, Ambanis and Birlas who struggled in those stupid socialist era and finally took no chance to turn the table in open market. No doubt they made lot of riches but they also created lot of wealth and employment. The other is MS Swaminathan who worked for food productivity and made Indian farmer produce enoug for all. Finally it is Vajpai who represented a mature face of India. All other politicians could be trashed aside. Its not the politicians but many other from various sectors of Indian society who made India vibrant and live. Political decisions and interest never helped India to grow. China war in 61 is such blunder where we lost thousands of Jawans. Its not Congress or BJP regime that contributed to India's growth. Its common man of India who took it to new highs and he/she is the one who can deliver promises in future too.
