Bad decisions by India
by MOHAN PYARE on Aug 15, 2007 01:45 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

You have left out the bad decisions and the indecisions that worked against the country's interest.
1) Decision to appoint Nehru as first prime minister instead of Sardar Patel who was the choice of the congress majority.
2) Decision to stop the war in Kashmir in 1948 contrary to the advice of General Kariappa.
3)Decision not to choose Vande mataram as national anthem.
4) Indecision to impose strict population control measures (to appease the muslims)
5) Decision to amend the constitution to undo the Supreme court judgemment in Shah Bano case and to open the gates of Ayodhya as a compensation to the Hindus.
6) Decision to implement the Mandal commission report opening the flood gates of caste politics.

There are others also, but these are the worst.

Really you have given the right picture. Particularly, Sardar Patel deserved to be the PM.
