Well for his info, it was Uncle Sam who helped with setting up the IITs, it was Uncle Sam who helped set up India's first N-plant, it was Unle Sam who helped India set up her aerospace program with the first Ranger rocket. If Nehru wasn't such a stupid pompous priggish arrogant twit, India today, with Uncle Sam's help, would have been as developed as Japan or Korea. And when when the chips were down, it was Uncle Sam who came to the rescue, like they did in '62, telling Mao to push off or feel Uncle Sam's wrath. It was Uncle Sam, who has provided the lions share of economic aid since independence, not the Soviets. In fact the Soviet Union used India, what with her over-valued Rouble vs the cheap Rupee, they got huge amounts of Indian goods and consumer products in return for questionable military hardware. And India's first steel mill was not from the Commie Soviiets - it came from the capitalist west - Germany. This guy need some good history lessons.
