Could we have been worse off in 1947?

Yes, really speaking it is worst than 1947. Our forefathers fight for our freedom. What is happening today. What is the purpose of removing british raj. Now the same congress installed the same same foreign lady as the head and her hand picked very old and not able to walk or talk properly had been the head of the country. It is sheer waste that our father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi brought freedom for us. The richer is becoming richer and poor becoming poorer. The corrupted politicians, corruption everywhere from top to bottom. As an we can't work in other states of the country. Parochial sentiments. Son of soil policy. Can't travel with peace. The country should have an iron man like Sardar Patel or Iron Lady like Indira Gandhi. Pranab Murkherji, Arjun Singh, Sharad Pawar, Manmohan Singh, Pratibha Patil all very old and sick and they wanted to have power. Why not younger generation take over the country. Let the Almighty save the country.

Well said Ananth!
We need dynamic leaders, not a 70-year old man as a President... what a joke!
