Materialism in India
by Sanjay Gupta on May 23, 2008 09:45 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Sorry to say this Indians are materialistic however they try to deny. Think dowry!! Number two why blame/trash US? Americans have never attacked or colonized India. In fact all the development that has occurred in India after the IT revolution is attributed to companies in US. I have seen shootings in India also. I grew up in Bombay and there was plenty of violence around. Most people who post comments here are from sheltered middle class families who comprise only 20% of Indian population. The rest live in poverty for whom no other Indians care.

Mumbai is wonderful city. People care more for buffaloes than humans. When buffaloes are transported in trucks there was lot of uproar on ill treatment metted to buffaloes. But no one cares for humans who travel in local trains much worse than the condition the buffaloes are transported.
