why
by ernest dharmasenan on Mar 06, 2008 12:37 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Many Indian student who go to US do not mix with the society or tend to isolate themselves, or the socialize with other Indians only. Acutally there is no inter- intra presonnel relationship with other people of differnt nationlites, this tend to create a deep division within the students community.

Our students tend to look down on other student who are not par with them and expecailly for the Brahmin student there is spirit of competion which the white folks dont like. The Indians stduent try to put Zalra to thier professors, which irritates th other people.Indian student are bothered about others affairs white folks are not intersted.

Especailly people from Andhra pradesh do not have the basic desecny and they do not have any civic manners these could be the plausible reasons .

this is the pity with Indians. While it is needed to discourage the happenings in USA with Indians why to bring out andhra or tamil nadu . For hooligns whether IN USA or India, they don't discriminate whether the killed is from Andhra or Tamilnadu. In India North Indians blame south Indians and south Indians blame North Indians. Now this south Indian dharmasenan further discriminates the victim on the basis of andhra and generalises andhraites. Andhra is only the place where all south Indians especially tamilians or keralites live happily and andhras are more hospitable than any other south Indian state. Will dharmasenan be discriminated by hooligans in USA because he is not from andhra and on the basis that he is more descent, civic mannered etc? Real narrowmindedness.

ernest dharmasenan ,Your opinion is somewhat true. They stick their nose in other people's business. In the US , they say LIVE and LET LIVE.

Fully agree.. sometimes Indians do behave in a childish manner.. Too competitive for other students to feel comfortable about... Just imagine Indians would react if students from Bangladesh or Africa did the same in India.. In my observation, students who come to US need a primer in behaving and speaking in Western Society.. We are all deeply divided within and we tend to take teh same divisions in our mind when we go abroad and that partly explains why we ar so interested in others afairs... I wonder why there is no violence against the chinese ?? becasue they blend very well with others and are very helpful ( in my experience) as far as academics is concerned. Not like Indians who want to be unnecessarily competitive even with their fellow country men even when it is not needed... Most of Indians are insecure when they deal with others ...
