indian students in US

Indians generally disliked abroad. I think it is just that they are too loud very stuck on their traditions and also represent the third world. They come from the third world but behave as if they are from the first. Also they are looked upon as being false in their attitudes. But the most important thing is they are looked upon as 'grabbers'.Where you see one indian living well you would find a hundred following him and doing the same. This has created a mob like immigration by the indians all over the world. Also their english accents are disliked by many westerners who are racist anyway.
Another unfortunate fact is that the black population in the US are aware of the caste system in India. The brahmanic hegemony since centuries pushing aside a good 35% of the country's so called untouchable population into obscurity. People have been writing books about this 'apartheid' system of india. Also the gujarat genocide is getting very popular in the US universities and eveery one is questioning about the 'democracy'in india where the perpetrators of genocide are not only not arrested but re-elected as state ministers! They are also beginning to learn that hitlerism and nazism are being admired by far right hindu leaders who preach hate and violence against minorities. All these things are being slowly scrutinised by the western people who take their own time in research but arrive at a firm conclusion. They also begin to wonder why hindus worship so many gods. Why arent they monotheist

I guess its got to do with the cultural and historic differences. Lets face it,the West is a very materialistic(consumer driven) and agressive place to be and life is often lived in the fast lane keeping up with the trends and 'must haves'of the new age, much in contrast with the lives of a vast majority of Indians who migrate to the west seeking jobs and to settle down to a happy life.

I dont agree with you... In US where most of the people of migrant, there is no reason to hate Indians as they are migrant and cant speak in US accent.

I think the reason can be anything from being more aggressive, love afair or jeolocy...etc...
