as written in the article above, women today are playing many more roles than could even been imaagined some 15 yrs ago. Therefore, its all the more important to celebrate the creation of God called women.
However, I completely agree, that now that we have achieved this much, we need to go further and help the down trodden classes as well and strengthen them. some people have mentioned something about the biological differences between men and women, which is very true, but i think you just need to be reminded that this world goes round because of both men and women, therefore, the much hyped equal opportunity for women folk is well deserved.
for those people who are concerned about the men fold being harresed by wives, i just wanted to bring you back to the fact that Women's day celebration is not just to celebrate "Wives"...all women- sisters, sister-in-laws, mothers, mother-in-laws, daughters and wife all fall in this perview. I'm sorry, i do not have the stats about how many men suffer through the hands of their wives, but i belive change is the only constant and therefore, this will also change soon, given the efforts that are being made. Hope you all become the best human being that you can be and spread love and cheer among both men and women....and a very happy Women's day to all of you (men folk, you can pass it on to all the women in your lives :))...
