normally women in corporate of world are hired to increase the glamour quotient of their office and nothing else. Women are good in attaending telephone calls, clerical monotonous works ( without the need to use brain)and walking on the fashon parades
Whatever you said is unacceptable..women are process oriented and more efficient..i have seen so many women managing team..you have mentioned that without the need to use brain..no work can be done without the usage of brain..and no management is fool enough to hire those women not putting stuff in work..

I completely agree with Yavanika.. Navneet, go to any software company and see. There would be as many women as men. So ur saying that the company is hiring 50% of their staff to increase "glamour quotient" of the workplace??? And no company would hire women if they weren't "using their brains" in ur language or not being productive enough

I think to a degree that is not a fair assessment. Men and women have different skill sets due to biological compulsions and it is better to concentrate on their individual strengths than compare to demean each other. It is better to accept each other for what they are and their strengths are.

In my last 15 years of experience in high corporate world, unfortunately women in offices are taken for adding that added glamout factor. It is not wrong. I myself have taken few girls for the office to look good fun filled, eventhough there are lot of males who were much better. Nothing wrong in accepting that. Just look at the 20/20 world cup matches. Mostly women are the cheer leaders to attract the crowd. Nothing wrong in that. If given an option between male and female, i will opt for female as my collegue, even at the cost of (little ) capabilities.

I think its your own little view point that not entirely true. My sister is heading a division in an MNC and she eats guys like you for lunch. She takes care of family/kids, its no joke. So please when you make a statement ensure to put disclaimers like 'its you own view point and doesn't represent the thinking of mass'
its a shame that we have suppressed women for so long, so far. who forced them look good always, who forced them to cook? who confined them to house/kitchen its you men. hope this changes and women get more liberty and power to take care of themselves without being profiled.

Managing project in India for a overseas client is run of the mill kind of job. All it needs to client interaction skills and good beauty full dresses and faces to attract and tie the client and make him/her feel comfortable.
Yes women have higher EQ so that also helps to an extent. But many women in corporate world are very selfish too.
