1. If possible try Solar Cooker as much as possible. This can help you is recovering cost within 6-7 months and then help you in savings.
2. Get your car fitted with CNG/ LPG. If you are a daily user then you can expect the cost to be recovered with an years time.
3. use CFL in cutting your electricity bills (but practically speaking it help you in overcoming voltage fluctuation, and is as instant as a bulb. I am not convinced with cost/saving ratio.)

calculate your monthly requirement of various items of grocery and find a shop/wholeseller to buy stuff in bulk. This will one way of anit-inflation.
Get Medical Insurance done for the family. This will save your hard earned money from any unexpected expenses.
Try to buy from shops without bill and save on Sales tax.
Rather going for a movie with a family buy original CD/DVD and enjoy at home (generally costs 50-100 Rs)

Try to reduce use of AC in car as well as at home. This will save lot of money.
