fostered economic growth

These tips are for whom? It suits lower middle class or lower class who live on fixed monthly income. But you should encourage upper middle and upper class to spend more. In a 100% capitalist environment, fostered economic growth is required and it is possible only by the stake holders spending more and more. If none spend, all industry will come down and will land up in deep trouble. Small example is, if you stop eating fish as part of cost cutting, most of the fishermen folks in your are will be in trouble. I have seen it during post tsunami period when fishwalas were forced to take up other jobs as none wanted to touch fish. Similar thing happended during bird flue
