NRIs

Quite a few Indians mock at NRIs and their life abroad. One has to understand the situation they were in before they left for a job abroad. Not everybody has the same education, calibre etc and it will be difficult for them to get a job in India where there are more people than jobs. In the late 60s and 70s finding a job in India was a hard thing. The Gulf was waiting for these expats as it was boom time there. Then came the demand for IT guys in 80s and then the IT bubble burst. Then the demand for nurses started and now IT is again the in thing. So if people take advantage of these situations we must not blame them. All those guys who mock at NRIs are only too happy to sip the scotch they bring or smoke the cigarette they bring. They should realize that these NRIs support a huge number of their family members here in India who would have been a burden on the nation otherwise. So live and let live. Let everyone enjoy the fruits of their work.
