Dont know about our country schools ratings but in international ratings IIM-A will never make into top 50 Cos of its nill experienced fellows.

Not having too many people with experience is IIMs strength - it takes people based on IQ , achievement orientation and communication skills and moulds them to be ready for industry. Experienced folks come with a lot of baggage of past and are typically not as bright because they would have tried for IIMs several times to get in.
This is one reason IIMs are rated highly globally.

yes i too thought its sheer waste of time applying for CAT with severe competition from freshers.They dont have minimum knowledge of managament but they keep on mugging the books day and night.
