Today's is the employees market...there's a dearth of skilled people in the market.. So if employees dominate the market and switch jobs..then its nothing wrong in it ...man its all the free play of demand and supply.... what about the time when cos. were throwing out the people out of jobs without any notice period..( i m talking about the the great IT slowdown last year..!!)
so guys tell those people talking about job hopping,....that its nothing wrong , rather its simple economics..!

I could recall one incident that happened sometime back during HR interview. The lady asked me how soon I could join if I was given an offer. As I told her that I had two month's notice period, the lady went on to give a long lecture on why it doesn't make any sense for a company to keep an employee for two months after he resigns, how it affects the other employees, about negative energy it spreads, why there should be trust and mutual respect between employee and employer, why it should be like a family, the wonderful HR practises they have in their company etc etc and asked me to talk to my current employer and make it two weeks.
I asked her what the notice period is in their company. After a little bit of hesitation and beating around the bush, she replied that it's three months for a person of my seniority.
