Dear friend, a couple of years back i was in the same spot. I left a job in hand, in the hope of landing another job in another city. It took me 9 whole months to get a job. It was extremely frustrating and i was beginning to lose my mind and even hoped that i would get run down by a bus or something. I was a bachelor that time. It seems that you are either a married man or you have people who depend on you; so, in your situation, it would be a really really bad move if you quit your current job. Bad is actually an understatement...suicidal would be appropriate.
As for you not being happy in hyderabad, do something to spice up your life man. Go for a nice evening walk by Hussain sagar lake..better yet, why dont you "patao" some lady (if you are a bachelor)

Hi , Zunaid,
Man ,you are a Chartered Accountant and that too in Hyderabad , at least for the present. India is hot , there is dearth of CA's. The demand is roughly double the supply.
Man, have patience. But do not forget to look around in Mumbai. Try your best while you are in Hyabd. Take action rather than thinking day and night. No problem, CA's are by nature lazy, they need marketing and managerial skills for which ICAI is now looking for. Better late than never.

I think you should first get a job in Mumbai and then leave your current job. I don't know much about mumbai, so can't comment on how easy or difficult to get a CA job there. Never do the mistake of leaving this job and then trying to get one in mumbai. You should think about your dependents before thinking about anything else. But again, it's my perspective.

Hi Zunaid,

After reading your message, I guess you have some personal problem in Hyderabad...

Try to tackle that problem first, if not divert your attention from that problem and things will start looking green...

As many of the friends suggested, it is NOT a right move to leave the job on hand and try for a different one and that too in a different city...

Companies try to take advantage of people with NO job on hand and try to give lesser pay...and you too can't demand...

So, have patience and cheer up...life is not always the same...there are bull and bear phases always...think smart and start applying in Mumbai while being in Hyd...try arranging telephonic interviews, and if required arrang face-to-face interviews on weekends...by requesting Mumbai companies...it works and you might end up in a very good job in amchi Mumbai :)
