The above statement I don't agree since after 10-15 years, the whole marriage concept will change and our children will go for love marriages and you need not put aside much money.

Well yes and no. When we were children similar statements were made by our parents but today we find that love marriage or arranged marriage it si an expensive affair. Furthermore with most of the educated middle class having observed the one-child norm, the parents do wish to participate in this joyous occasion be it arranged or "love".

For education, you have to cough more money even if it is in your reach or not. For this joyous occasion of marriage, you can have your limit set and arrange according to your budget. That's the difference.
