Spat between delhi and chennai guys was interesting but not good. We are one nation and should not criticize each other.Delhi is national capital with some of the best educational institutions. Dont u think that students scoring such high marks in CBSE 12 standard would not get entry into medical or engineering institutions easily? But one must think beyond medical and engineering too, thats wat delhites are doing perhaps and its a good thing.Also there is a trend in south india to go out of country to work because employment opportunities are not as great. So they opt for technical education resulting in mushrooming of such institutions in every district, many of them of dubious standard. Talent is available everywhere in India. I heard most of civil services jobs and other government jobs all over India are grabbed by Biharis. Due to lack of opportunities in that state, students work hard. Also talent is 99 percent hard work rather than inborn. So cheer up, no fighting.

dude its not about a spat..its about a feelin of xenophobia tht every person in our country suffers...the problem is we speak without knowin each other..or maybe we are just plain simple hippocrats who are so frustrated being a loser that we blame the other side fr being successful..we never accept the fact tht we are what we made ourselves but keep blamin the system and the "extra" priviledges others are getting..i m lived in 3 of the 4 metros with ppl from almost every part of india..and i thing tht i found out is tht nobody gets free lunch....bt some ppl just dont get it..

Mr.Insane, I am a perfect and a patriotic Indian I like my country east or west India is the best.But within the Indian context one has to be very clear and clarify all the doubts. You say about xenophobia - only in a hindi film is a south ridiculed, his accent is made fun of,his skin colour, his dress like lungi,how he eats etc etc and this is done in real life also and i myself gone thru this humiliation then north Indians say Hare yaar hum to mazaak kar rahe the.They do not understand their bad sense of humuor can insult someone.
Mr.Insane it is you who started about rajini dowry etc.I was talking about education.well i can understand you since there are no solid arguements with you hence blame and play the dirty game.
What a rubbish claim?- Is in north India, job opportunities are more? every one knows- Job opportunities in South/West India is much more than north India (i.e BIMARU stares & delhi). No. of educated/Intelligent/Sensible people are more in south/west india compared to North & east. Thats why many of them go abroad for higher studies & better living which in turn helps indian economy also. Please remove this myth that producing few IAS means state is intelligent. So much hype of Govt jobs in BIMARU states only explain how backward is the state. It is nothing to be proud off. So please remove your misconception & accept that in general south/west india is better in terms of education/Job opportunities/Civic sense when compared to north India. Mind u I am a north Indian.

I do agree with u Ashish that in north India things may be more chaotic, because of more population too.But I always believe that intelligence is subjective and hard work is more important. I live in UK and come from north India. I have several excellent south Indian friends here in UK. Mention of BIMARU word everytime to denigrate some states does not sound good, even if they are really backward.Thru my south Indian friends, I have come to know about their problems too in south, including corruption, and lack of opportunities that forces them to go out of the country.Even people from Chennai claim that there is lots of corruption in their state, although they may not be aware of scale of problem in north.But there are good and bad things everywhere and I dont believe that ppl from south are more intelligent than ppl from north, their priorities may be different and they work hard for that. Similarly north ppl are also hard working but priorities may be different. And its official that Delhi generates more jobs in India than any other metro, even Mumbai.
