I did my bachelors degree in India and did a diploma in Business administration and also lots of computer related courses in the US. I feel one should experience the college life abroad as it is totally different from Indian colleges and univercity. One becomes more independent and takes responsiblity about her work at home and in school too. Here in India our children are spoilt as all the work at home is dont by maids and so when they go to America they take charge and become more responsible and do their own Laundry and dishes and keep the room clean. I didnt do any work in India but when i went to America I had to take the challenge and responsiblity and it changed me as a person. I wasnt lazy anymore and became more active and started planning my life too. Here kids are spoon fed and everything is taken care for them. I have 2 daughters and I would definatly would send them to America or any other country for their college.

For this issue, you dont have to send your kids to america. You can ask them do the house work here itself. You are fooling yourself madam. Your are trying to the same mistake what your parents did for you. I didnt deny the point you have mentioned that students have to explore diferent culture and life as it helps them to understand and adopt to the situation. But it turned out to be funny after reading your 2nd point and the final resolution :)
