The reservation should be done away for good. It was a policy that was introduced 60 year back and it have failed to deliver its purpose. So now it is a time to review this policy. If our sensitive and educated leaders (or politicians to be precise)think that SC/ST are still suffering then they can do following things.
1. Open special school for castes (falling under reservation) in every district to provide free and quality education to them till 12th class and then let face the professional exams without any support.
2. if our leaders (politicians to be precise)think that SC/ST cannot pay for there higher education then government can offer them loans to complete there education. which they can pay back to government.
if our leaders (politicians to be precise) have some sense in there otherwise dull head they should seriously review the reservation policy to make it more effectively rather then just blindly increasing the amount of reservation. and if they are so much bothered about welfare of SC/ST then lets have 51% reservation in cabinet. Our leaders should lead by example. And they should make there children to marry with SC/ST boys/girls.

Reservations should be continued as long as caste system exits in India. As per the constitution untouchability is abolished by law. But this centuries old tradition is unlikely to die so soon. Caste is in fact a tool to identify backwardness and not for obseving castism. But reverse is being practiced.SC/STs are being disturbed every now and then in all walks of life. Hence, major operation is required. simple ointment will not do. Reservation should be implemented vigoriously with penal provsion for misusing the provision and not implementing the scheme of reservation.

I don't know with whom i am taking, but i really appreciate what u have said. that has to be said & implemented in good sense & only then one would get a fair share based on their worth. If it is required, then it should be given to them at the grass root level & let them face the real world alone. I think this would be the right way to go about that.
