ANT & GRASSHOPPER
OLD VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summerlong building his house and laying up supplies for thewinter. The grasshopper thinks the ant's a fool and
laughs & dances & plays the summer away. Come winter,
the ant is warm and well fed. The grasshopper has no
food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

MODERN VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer
long, building His house and laying up supplies for
the winter. The grasshopper thinks the ant's a fool
and laughs & dances & plays the summer away. Come
winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press
conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold
and starving.
NDTV, BBC, CNN show up to provide pictures of the
Shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in
his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
The world is stunned by the sharp contrast. How can
this be that this poor grasshopper is allowed to
suffer so?
Arundhati Roy stages a demonstration in front of the
Ant's' house.
Medha Patkar goes on a fast along with other
grasshoppers demanding that grasshoppers be relocated
to warmer climates during winter.
Amnesty International and UN secretary general
criticize the Indian Government for not upholding the
fundamental rights of the grasshopper. The Internet is
flooded with online petitions seeking support to the
grasshopper.
Opposition MPs stage a walkout

The basic assumption in ur modern version of story is that all SC/ST are like grasshopper and all upper caste people are like ant. This is the basic mindset which is stopping India to grow. All our people have to understand that all humans by birth are same and more ar less have the same potential to achieve success in various fields provided they get the right support and direction at the right time. Since most of the upper caste people are better off they are able to provide good upbringing to their children and that is why they get good marks and they excel in various field. It gives them the feeling that they are intelligent and are meritous and SC/ST are not. Is it really correct or just a illusion? All upper caste or most of the upper caste people are like ant is a myth which should be shattered.

Its not that simple as ant and grasshopper story. Here so called ant has all the resources avaialbe to work and save for bad days for itself and next ten generations. where as grasshopper is not allowed to work and earn sufficient because all the means of earning are owned and hijecked by ants. So God came to the rescue of grashopper and provided him with the opportunity to work and prove themselves. You will be surprised to know that we had lower caste president, primeminister, lots of ministers, scientists, doctors, engineers you just name and we have it. It is just begining the lower class will over come like the story of Rabit and Tortoise. where rabit thought that he can sleep but dont know that slow but steady tortoise is one with wome he is competing.
