its a niusance
by Its Me on Jul 24, 2007 02:46 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I have a Citibank card. It has become a nuisance. The bills comes on the last due date. and even if you put the payment cheque on the due date or a day before you are charged for delay as it may take 2 days for clearing, But that is not fair, becos the last date is for dropping the cheque not for clearing. We have to suffer if their collection agents do not work efficiently.

What to do, where do i make a complaint ?? I gotta cancel it as soon as possible. Which one could be the best one to opt for ??

This is the mistake you are making, last due date is not for cheque to be dropped but payment to be recieved so u need to ensure that you drop the cheque atleast 2-4 days earlier. if you have a problem then right the date on the cheque as the due date only so that it gets cleared only on due date. Take my advice i m sure it works. I have worked for a MNC bank that is why i know this:)

If you have worked in MNC, you also must be knowing that post dated cheques for cc is not accepted. In an instance the card co. sent the cheque as soon cheque received, which was post dated but witin due date and the cheque bounced on technical. In this case bank and credit card co. fleeced money.
