This article comes at a good time when lot of us are getting our time wasted by telemarketers. So what if they are doing their job? Would you approve hired gangsters saying that 'they are just doing their jobs'. Nowdays even gangsters, thiefs, beggars, terrorists are hired and they do their job because of economic/political compulsions.
Telemarketing is pure harrasment and shouldn't be treated any differently than terrorism, blackmailing, etc. The people who do this job very well now what they are into.
It is good that rediff provides a forum like this for ordinary individuals like us who are face undue harrassment by this telemarketers and have no simple legal means to stop this menace.
My advice would be do not take a job which is criminal (dacoity, goondagiri, telemarketing, etc). If you take up then be prepared for the consequences.
