Never ever go for a live-in relationship.. bcoz if we have a flirting mentality or not so emotional then its okay else we will suffer a lot.
After stayting few mnths or years with that person n if you start liking him/her; and unfortunately your partner feels you dont suit his/her mentality and leaves you its horrible to even imagine that, we will totally collapse,
we get depressed just when we know a person whom we like or hav a crush doesnt respond to us. and after having a live-in relationship if it doesnt work out it will kill a persons emotions and perturb them.
Live-in relationships is not acceptable by Indians. We are not in that mould. Either a joint family or nuclear family is the basis of our Society. But , there is nothing to get depressed and take it seriously. Nowadays , nothing should shake a person and everything needs to be taken into the stride accepted. If something or relationship is not working out , let us look for options. We are witnessing so many arranged marriages are failing , divorces within 3 / 6 mths -- divorce had a social stigma and was a sin 5 years ago. Today , we have thusands of singles -- mostly women in Mumbai , Delhi , Pune , Bhopal , Banagalore -- and the likes and to lesser numbers in other cities. Why is it so ? everywhere , there is a focus on performance. just like a job , personal life became target and performance driven. -- Not happy for whatever reason , move on. In a way , it is good ,as disgrintled men and women need not live unhappily for decades like earlier.
but for Live-in relationships , this should not be encouraged , eats into the vitals. It is a disease , which we cannot live with. It hits the family system -- the backbone of Indian society. Never encourage Live ins.

What family system are you talking about? You say somewhere that "Either a joint family or nuclear family is the basis of our Society. " then you say we should not accept "Live in". Why? Live in is as same as nuclear, its just that the legal system has some catch up to do.

My dear Suresh Kumar ; FIRSTLY AND LASTLY , LET US NOT APE THE WESTERN SOCIETIES AND CULTURE. WE ARE HAPPILY PROGRESSING AND SHOULD DO SO , CONTINUALLY. When I say nuclear family , it means a legally wedded husband , wife and their children. It is not Livein by any stretch of imagination. In Liveins , there are no children ; if you have CHILDREN ,THEN THE ownership , how long , Future of the kids , parentage -- several questions one needs to answer -- not worth the trouble. Instead , just get happily married -- Yes , there will be few LIVEINS which will end up as marriage, -- but only a miniscule percentage. Society cannot grow and will only SHRINK WITH LIVE IN RELATIONSHIPS. When you are a part of a society , you need to behave , inculcate , imbibe , spread , exhibit , demonstrate and be bound by -- the value systems , culture and the traditions OF THAT SOCIETY. We Indians take pride in a family system and is SUCCESFUL PROVEN WORLDWIDE. , Now West is trying to ape this family system of ours for their societal advancements. They are understanding that instant gratification and momentary pleasure will not build up a society. If you are net savvy , you will know the various web sites and links available for Singles , Pornography , Dating , Liveins , Divorce , Having a good time --. Without a sentimental attachment , bonding will not be there. Without bonding , there is no binding. In absence of binding , the society will be a rudderless ship and get lost its way .We ar

I guess this post sums it all. If a couple is just flirting around then its ok but if you are serious about the relationship and are emotional i think one should never go for a live in relationship.
