Mandi and Tourism - HP
by SACHIN KALANI on May 02, 2007 01:23 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I agree with Mr. P Sunder and appreciate that he has shared his views. I have been to Mandi 4 years back (we spent a day while going to Manali) and this article has refreshed the memories.

I only want to add that from my view, we the people in plains, love to be in the hilly tracks to unwind/refresh. But it is unfortunate that the we do not undertake adventures. The routine trips to Shimla, Manali etc is now boring, they are the same concrete jungles as we have here. Plus shimla has an acute water and parking problem. I suggest readers explore whole of Himachal viz, Narkanda, Rohru, Karsog, Chindi in the Shimla belt and Mandi, Bhuntar, Patlikuhal, Dobhi etc in the Manali belt also Dalhousie, Khajjiar, Chamba, and especially Palampur are worth a good time. Bollywood often runs away to shoot in Europe, I suggest them to explore our own land, it is equally beautiful.
