Some places off the beaten path are Sarahan, Baspa,Kinnaur,Sangla,Naggar and Chitkul in HP, Jeolikote, Mukteshwar,Chamba,Binsar,Ranikhet etc. in Uttaranchal. I have been to these places and believe you me, they are preferable anyday to Mussorie,Shimla,Nainital,Manmali and other better known but inferior spots. For deatils of other places in Rajasthan, J&K,HP & Uttaranchal, you may contact me by mailing me to 'advocatesumeer@rediffmail.com'. Regards.

Dear Shalinikhare

North India is full of places to enjoy honeymoon. There are lot of tourist places like Shimla , Manali , Mousrie ( all are 120 to 300 KM ) from City Beutiful -Chandigarh - my birth place. These are best suited during Sept - Dec.( Off season) and March to May. July - sept. it is a rainy season. Dec.- Feb severe winter .

But these are places attract lot of people in summer ( Tourist Season). Booking and arranging of Taxi for local sight seeing is again a problem.

These places are well connected by road with Delhi and Chandigarh.

Apart from these , Chail , Kasuli , Dharmsala are few other small another hill stations in North . These are quite and small places with no major tourist rush.

Apart from these Mandi, Rawalsar , Chamba are few small towns with lot of scenic beauti . These are located within 50-60 KM from major tourist attractions of North India.

Hope this will help you in knowing a little bit about North . You are wellcome to ask anything . My mail address id baggars@rediffmail.com

Regards

R S Bagga
