Mussoorie

Natural beauty of this famous hill station has been spoilt a great deal by the wreckless construction of commercial buildings along the mall road.If you climb the famous gun hill located in the heart of this small city you will be disappointed after reaching the top when you see that all the natural scenery of the Himalayas have been totally eclipsed by the cluster of shops encircling the entire plateau.Only a thin strip of land covering an area of hardly 15 feet X 10 feet has been left vacant from where you can get a restricted view of the Himalayas.Thans to the MDDA i.e. Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority who have allowed such wreckless construction of buildings/ shops at the top of Gun Hill and and along the Mall road.
Hotels are abundant. One has to stroll along the Mall and walk up to Kulri and go on enquiring the tariff until you get an accommodation that suits your pocket and requirement. Those at Kulri are cheaper as compared to the ones located along the Mall with the exception of the Hotel managed by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam Limited which, although located along the Mall, is comparitively much cheaper than other similar hotels.

I think Delhi Urban Art Commission should be empowered to rejuvenate ailing Mussoorie.
