I am jut wondering if any one ever visit the Northeast..much further to the eastern side of Darjeeling? The north eastern states are the loveliest places to be on earth. the climate is perfect during summer, the sceneries are breath taking. How I wish that it gets connected to the mainland in the news

I agree with you Benjamin! I went for my 2 week honey to Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. I cannot emphsise enough that the beauty is awesome and breath taking with those frozen lakes and the deep forests! You really need some local help to take you to the hidden paradise in those locales, not the regular tour operator packages who make fool of the customers!

Yes you are absolutely right. Even i have been to assam, meghalaya and Arunachal. Although arunchal is not well developed and takes some real effort to reach there (getting the permit made etc.). But, believe me, its worth it. You would love the virgin mountains and the waterfalls that you come across while on the way. Overall if you are looking forward to a place away from the normal hustle bustle north-east is the right place.
