Amongst Jaipur,Jodhpur,Udaipur, Mount Abu and Delhi I am recommending a place called BISHNOI VILLAGE CAMP AND RESORT.
This place ( famous for Salman Khan's black buck case) is a must for a travellers to Rajasthan between November and January.
I was recommended this place by a young couple I met at Jaipur. What they described compelled me to cancel my preplanned trip to Jalsemer and try out this unique place, 20 kms away from Jodhpur enroute to Udaipur.
This small resort has six cottages to stay.It is run by two agriculturists who shower on you thier personal attention mixed with love,affection, warm vegetarian Rajasthani food (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner). The cottages are made of mud in typical Rajasthani style,offering you privacy and with the rest rooms equipped with all the modern facilities.
In addition to putting up one's feet to relax, you could visit the nearby villages where you see black bucks and deers strolling, peacocks in hundreds eating out of your hand and the famed siberian black crane. I was lucky to see a fox too.Both the sunrise and sunset are magnificent in this tranquil place.
The camel ride into the village to see the Bishnoi women cook thier meal is a delight. Watch the carpet(Durri) maker at his site and let him sell his wares to you. His knowledge of spoken english (having picked it up from trying to read English books and tourists) and above all to swipe your credit card with the
