by Anand Galgali on Oct 22, 2006 10:03 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Am I supposed to be angry and the dominating and a tough boss always ?
I am nice boss and yet my subordinates took me seriously, but my ?management thought I was being too nice.
What does one do?
BTW I am a doctor, Can I get afford to get angry and scream and shout at my professional colleagues.

Dear Dr anand,
The same is happening with me as well and sometimes I also feel very frustrated but I know our way of working is better and gives long term results. We might not be able to produce immediate results as expected by the management but our way of working build teams and being a sportsman I can tell you teamwork produces better output. Some people work less and shout more but others give good performance and avoid being in limelight. Our calmness and politeness is considered as a sign of aggressivelessness but I know it is the most important charaterstic of a good manager and if a manager happens to be a doctor then he is supposed to be like this.
I am quite sure that there is something better waiting for us.
