I disagree with Ms Bansal's view.Today parents with middle & lower class backgrounds have to toil for the educating their children and also expect that children stand on their feet as early as possible. All dont get the benefit of quota system, trustee seats or parents who can support children's higher education. Many times people are forced to send their children to polytechnic or vocational courses so that he/she can stand on feet early and limited income parents dont have to stretch themselves. The ground reality in India is child labour, diploma engineers, degree engineers or simple accountants and general practitioners are forced early into the vocation out of compulsion. There is nothing wrong in Distance learning or on the job learning otherwise India would not have had 7th std passed Dhirubhai Ambani being bestowed the degree of Dean of a business school for the opportunities and wealth created by him. I hope she appreciates Eklavaya was a better arrow shooter than Arjun without real Guru Dronacharya. It is only compulsions that a person chooses a path for futuring his/her knowledge and career and no path is HOT or COLD.
