Hi, i read ur article on the person Lata whose husband refuses to save.The same is the case with me where my husband refuses to save and whenever i broach up the topic he either changes the topic or tells me he is not interested. And neither is he intersted in having a joint account. Though i save a lot in SIP's nd equity shares i wish that he too would save. Any suggestions since he does not wish to have a joint account.

As the article points out, talking is the best solution for any kind of problem resolution. But if it does not work, and your husband refuses to have a joint account, then you can use up your salary or atleast a major chunk of your salary for savings while you can ask your husband to manage the monthly household expenses. That way, part of his salary is utilized for the house while the remaning he is free to spend as he wants and you can also be happy that not all the money is spent lavishly.
