My clash comes right here
by Pradeep Kotari on Mar 23, 2006 12:41 PM   Permalink

I often get these conflicting thoughts, whether to follow my heart and go for a profession which involves some risk financially, that too intitially, like writng or directing . or to get a safe and secure job like any other person and compromise in life.

I am 23 years old, working in a software company , coding , which is nothing more than copying and pasting code, a mundane job which any high school lad could pull off with ease. I know this is not what i am born to do . I know this is not going to take me any where. I mean i wanna get big in life. I wanna do what i can best, and not do what when an average person does, looks better. Yes, thats ur line.
I liked this phrase very much :
" Due to this, a lot of folks who might have made great journalists end up as Vice Presidents of Blah somewhere. But that's the individual's call. If you don't believe you have it in you to be 'outstanding', you prefer to stick where the averages look better."

The question which always comes to my mind is the same, what to do with my life, my career. which path to take. I'm still near the cross roads and still have a long road to go ahead.
