Hello there, Somehow I dont think all this media hype about MBAs is correct. I myself am pursuing a masters in management at London's top university. I have not seen such a rush after guys from Oxford, cambridge or my Imperial. I feel why there is such a hype about this is because IIM is better "brand" than other institutios. I would like draw attentions of future MBA aspirants that they should not confuse this brand equity of the institutes with their own job prosperity. One can refer a Mintzberg in "Managers not MBAs" or a recent study done by BusinessWeek which says that only 1 in 4000 students of to 10 Biz schools in the world make it to become CEO of a Fortune 500 company. So, like Rashmi said, it is entirely upto us to prove. at least in western world, no body assumes that you are great only because you passed from a top university. To note, current CEO of London Underground Metro Rail is someone who was a DRIVER in the service before!
