sirs, i have done my class 10 th with 50% and class 12th with 40% and B.E.(comp sc) with 50%. should i sit for CAT and do i have any chances of qualifying for IIMs given my average academic records. how significant will be the "academic record" plays in the selection process? please give me a true reply, since i have seen , candidates from best institutes like IITs with excellent records are called for GD/pi?

hi abhishek
try to be realistic yaar . applying for CAT in your case is not advisable . the disadvantage u have is your very low scores . CAT is all about time management and efficiency under pressure . it directly reflects on your academics because your time management doesnt come jus like that , it is only developed in course of a long time like when you prepare for exams in your school days. since you have low scores it only reflects that you were not able to manage time and perform in your school exams . how can one change all of a sudden when preparing for CAT .

ur academic score does not decide ur performance in cat. from academic u come to know ur mistakes and weakness. abhishek, if u have faith, confidence, strong desire good intention and strong will for doing hardwork u wil definitely get in iim. but prepare for maths, vocabulary, english and good command over good magazines, newspaper and editorials
