Well!!the column is really good as far as readers who haven't cleared JEE or have not got any idea about the culture and attitude of a JEE qualified institute and students.Rashmi you belong to IIM-A I would like to ask you whether you would have gone for FMS Delhi or XLRI.No you wouldn't have done that even in your wildest of dreams.I agree with Sumit on the front that MSc in M&C is excellent but he would also not advice you to waste your JEE rank.I myself got excellent rank in CBSE (AIEEE) but had low rank in JEE but I didn't want to waste it n I opted fr IT-BHU Mining n after these 4 yrs I m proud of my decision. I am going to Stanford University (USA) fr MS , I had two IT Jobs at my disposal what else you want. You know what happens when companies come in at our insti's they don't even ask us about our past records as they do in other colleges (JEE effect).Guys in the synopsis I shall suggest you never waste your JEE rank fr any non JEE insti...its kind of " ki ek acchha karam tumhari zindagi ka saari zindagi ke bure karam ko chhupa lega".Its not only about IIT its about JEE my dear About Chandan opting fr IIIT,if he have had the JEE rank I bet he would have opted out of IIIT
