The writer wants the readers to think she is the odd girl out in this bad world and is not aware of existing culture these days! Also, its hard to digest the fact that someone had to tell her the way these flings or one night stands works! Well, may be she needs some sympathy or want of some xtra media hype! This is just a gimmick! She is 30 years and talks like a primitive stepping into a new unknown world!

YOu obviously have not understood what she is trying to say....she openly said that one night stands etc are not part of her agenda...she never said she did not know what it is..a media gimmick???? what's with you?
